When Chocolate Therapy Turns Functional
There’s something grounding about baking on a slow afternoon — the scent of chocolate wafting through the kitchen, the quiet rhythm of mixing and folding, the moment you pull a tray of perfectly gooey cookies from the oven.
These DIRTEA Double Chocolate Cookies take that comfort to the next level. Made with DIRTEA Cacao Super Blend, they’re rich, chewy, and deeply satisfying — but also packed with the functional benefits of Lion’s Mane, Tremella, and Reishi mushrooms, plus a boost of B-vitamins for calm focus, glowing skin, and stress support.
It’s indulgence that does more than satisfy your sweet tooth — it supports your body and mind while tasting like the best cookie you’ve ever made.
Ingredients
- 100g plain flour
- 48g DIRTEA Cacao
- 2g baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 150g sugar
- 3g salt
- 110g unsalted butter, melted
- 100g chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
Directions
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 175°C.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, DIRTEA Cacao, and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg, sugar, and salt until light and slightly thickened. Add the melted butter and whisk until smooth.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet and fold gently until just combined — don’t overmix. Stir in your chocolate chips for that perfect double-chocolate bite.
- Scoop 35 g portions of dough (about 16 cookies) and space them 2 inches apart on the tray. Bake for 10 minutes, then let them cool on the tray for another 10 before transferring to a wire rack.

FAQs
Does DIRTEA Cacao taste like mushrooms?
Not at all. It tastes like pure, rich chocolate with no earthy notes — just a deeper, more balanced flavour.
Can I make these cookies dairy-free?
Yes! Use coconut oil or vegan butter and dairy-free chocolate chips for an easy plant-based swap.
What are the benefits of baking with DIRTEA Cacao?
It adds functional mushrooms for brain, skin, and stress support — turning comfort food into a wellness ritual.
Can I freeze the dough?
Definitely. Scoop the dough into balls, freeze on a tray, then store in a sealed container for up to 2 months. Bake straight from frozen, adding 1–2 minutes to the bake time.
What kind of chocolate should I use?
Dark or semi-sweet works best to balance the sweetness of the dough and enhance the cacao flavour.
